For 2 1/2 years my wife (since she started Jennifer Miller Photography) has desperately wanted to go to some kind of convention to learn more about photography and be inspired. So, in March, we are going to WPPI in Las Vegas! (I’ve always wanted to go to Vegas:) It worked out great too! With each registration you get to bring in 1 person free (so 2 for the price of 1!), and we had enough airline miles to cover 1 flight and the hotel for the week. Brilliant!

Not only does WPPI have the best in the business when it comes to photography, they also have people that are the tops in DSLR cinematography and videography (especially for weddings). 

Jennifer and I are really excited about WPPI for a few reasons:

1. Learn. We are going to be spending time with so many people from the profession from around the US (many of whom are considered tops in their fields). I know that we will learn helpful tips on shooting, editing, marketing, etc… We’re ready for brain overload. 
2. Inspiration. One of the best things for a creative professional (or anyone for that matter) is to be inspired. I don’t know what we will walk away with, but I know we’ll see different styles of work that we will want to try. Or, maybe I’ll take some time to dabble in more of a short story/movie idea that has been bouncing around in my head. The point is, I know we will be inspired to do something more with the product that we both offer.  
3. Bring it all back to Wichita (and wherever else we work). This is the best part, everything that we learn we get to bring it back with us, and you all get to benefit from the stuff that we learned. Which, is pretty sweet!

I’ll be sure to take pictures and do a few write ups on the experience we had in Las Vegas at WPPI! I’ll keep ya posted!
