In the fall of 2010 my wife launched her photography business, Jennifer Miller Photography. After spending some time learning photography, I spent a lot of time learning how to take video with my wife’s DSLR. In the summer of 2012, I was the ‘video guy’ at a local church camp. I immediately fell in love with making short films. In September of 2012, I filmed my first wedding and lunched Nick Miller Films. 

Here is my first film and my original logo:

From my launch in 2012 to the start of 2014 I filmed 16 weddings. In the fall of 2013 I had my logo redone to something that I felt was a lot more ‘me.’ Here is my 2nd logo. 

With this as my new logo, I became very busy in 2014, filming a total of 23 weddings. Not only was I busy with my wedding business, but my wife also shot 15 weddings herself. From the end of August through Thanksgiving we had 1 weekend off between the two of us. Honestly, this took a toll on us both. We were working like crazy and spending a lot of time at our computers editing – and not with our family.

In the fall of 2014 we found out we were pregnant with our 2nd child, and because of this we came to a few conclusions in early 2015.

1) I would only film 10 weddings in 2015 (which I did). This would give me a break from the craziness that was the fall of 2014. I am very grateful that I was able to do this for myself, my family, and my business.

2) Jennifer came to the conclusion that she would no longer shoot weddings, and we would officially become a husband and wife wedding cinematography team. You can read her beautifully put blog post right here.

So, moving forward as a new husband and wife team, we decided to get a new logo and rebrand ourselves as a team. Here is the new Nick Miller Films logo:

We look forward serving our clients together and we shoot wedding in 2016 and beyond.
